We are looking for WELDERS to join our mechanical teams. Our company performs work at height, so this job is appropriate for candidates who enjoy heights. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring site safety and for the successful completion of the project to the satisfaction of the client. The construction carpenters will be working under the supervision of an IRATA L3 Supervisor on various worksites throughout BC.

Successful candidates must have experience in the construction industry. We will provide IRATA Rope Access training to the right candidates. Applicants with certifications in Confined Spaces Training, Fall Protection, and WHMIS will be given preference.

Responsibilities of Supervisor:

  • minimum of 5 years of experience in Welding, NDT, or Engineering associated with Welding
  • current CWB Weld Supervisor Certificate (or extensive knowledge of W47.1/58.18)
  • willing to work out of town

Responsibilities of Foreperson:

  • minimum 5 years of experience as Foreperson
  • Redseal Journeymen Certification (asset)
  • Supervising for Safety Excellence
  • CWB Certificates (asset)
  • willing to work out of town
  • interested in pursuing a career in rope access welding
  • able to interpret blueprints and drawings

Salary: $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

License/Certification:

  • CWB Welder Certificate (preferred)
  • Red Seal (preferred)
