Both are in line and approved by STAC (The Structure, Tower and Antenna Council). This course is meant for technicians who have to climb and work on telecommunication towers. This Petzl course is perfect for individuals who are responsible for equipment and work at height PPE inspections. But, we encourage all technicians to take this course to gain a better understanding of equipment inspection, which ultimately prevents equipment failure on site. All hours should be documented in your official SPRAT logbook. #### [How long is the course? **](https://www.pacificropes.com/sprat-training-level-3#collapseTwo) There are 4 days of training and then a 1 day evaluation . There is a third party SPRAT Evaluator, separate from Pacific Ropes, who comes in to conduct your evaluation.  #### [How long does the certification last? **](https://www.pacificropes.com/sprat-training-level-3#collapseThree) Your certification will last for 3 years. After 3 years, you will need to re-do the whole course again. #### [ What happens if I fail? **](https://www.pacificropes.com/sprat-training-level-3#collapseFour) Unfortunately, sometimes you may need to re-assess because you made a silly mistake or had a brain fart. You are allowed up to 60 days to re-assess. If you wait past 60 days, you will need to take the full four days of training again. #### [What is the cost? **](https://www.pacificropes.com/sprat-training-level-3#collapseFive) The SPRAT course is $2100 plus GST (prices subject to change) and only available at our Vancouver location.  #### [How fit do I have to be? **](https://www.pacificropes.com/sprat-training-level-3#collapseSix) Expect to be on your feet 90% of the time! The SPRAT course is physically demanding and requires a certain fitness level. Be prepared to sweat! The courses consist of theory but will be mainly practical. Our group sizes are usually 6-8 with 2 instructors. #### [Can I do IRATA and SPRAT at the same time? **](https://www.pacificropes.com/sprat-training-level-3#collapseSeven) Yes you can at our Vancouver location! When you register, just indicate which IRATA and SPRAT levels you want to do. Also, please pick a week in the calendar that says **IRATA and SPRAT**.
