Job Title: GWO Rope Access Technician

Location: Various locations across Canada (Travel required)
About the Role:
Pacific Ropes is seeking experienced and safety-focused Rope Access Technicians with valid GWO certifications to join our dynamic team. This is a 12-month contract that involves travel across various provinces in Canada to perform wind turbine maintenance and other rope access assignments.

Key Requirements:
- Valid IRATA Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3)
- GWO Certifications, including:
- Basic Safety Training (BST)
- Advanced Rescue Training (ART)
- Previous experience in a trade (e.g., mechanical, electrical, construction, welding)
- Proficiency in rope access techniques and IRATA/Sprat/GWO standards
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices
- Ability and willingness to travel nationally for projects

- Experience working at height on industrial worksites (e.g., oil refineries, wind turbines)

Responsibilities:
- Execute rope access tasks on wind turbines and other structures at height
- Complete assigned scopes of work to client satisfaction
- Conduct inspections and maintenance of personal and shared equipment
- Set up and take down rope access systems and job site equipment
- Identify and report worksite issues, offering solutions for efficiency and safety
- Ensure personal and team safety at all times
- Participate in daily safety meetings and complete required safety documentation
- Follow all work and rescue plans, risk assessments, and company safety protocols
- Represent Pacific Ropes with professionalism on all job sites
- Report unsafe practices or hazards to supervisors
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Additional pay: Overtime pay

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
