Job Overview:
Pacific Ropes is seeking a highly skilled Glazier with a red seal certificate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various glass structures in commercial, residential, and industrial settings. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Glass Installation: Measure, cut, and install glass, mirrors, and aluminum frames for windows, storefronts, curtain walls, and other structures.
- Repairs & Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance on glass installations, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the materials and installation requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all glass installations meet safety standards and building codes.
- Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients and contractors to assess project needs and provide solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the project manager, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets Pacific Ropes’ quality and safety standards.
- Team Support: Assist with other tasks as needed, including training apprentices and maintaining job site cleanliness and order.
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Certification as a Glazier.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of glazing experience in commercial, industrial, or residential projects.
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing glass in various settings.
- Ability to handle physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations, fall protection, and safe handling of glass and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of glazing work.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Expectation to attain IRATA Level 1 Rope Access certification.
Work Environment:
- Primarily in outdoor and construction site settings, often in various weather conditions.
- Comfortable working from heights and in confined spaces, ensuring all safety measures are followed.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
