Air Vac Services

We are looking to hire a rope access technician to perform dryer exhaust cleaning at heights. We have over 12,000 strata properties in our database that we draw work from which keeps us busy all year long. Not seasonal like other rope access companies. We run 2 technician crews from our office/ warehouse in Surrey. Crews are dispatched daily, mostly Mon – Friday (7:30 – 3:30 pm shifts), starting and finishing at our office/ warehouse. A workday consists of 1 hour travel to and from a job site with 6 hours work onsite making up the 8-hour shift. Different than other companies that have staff meet on site without paid travel time. All equipment is supplied. Future advancement available for long term employees.

Day to Day Responsibilities: Rope Access Window Cleaning, Pressure Washing, Dryer Vent Cleaning, Building Inspections, Maintaining, assembling, and inspecting tools and equipment required at your work sites

Qualifications: SPRAT or IRATA Level 1 or higher (Required), Has Canadian residency or a valid work permit (Required), Computer and/or device literacy to access online forms & digital platforms daily (Required), Valid BC Drivers License (Preferred), Experience in window cleaning and power washing (Preferred)

Skills & Performance Standards: Comfortable and effective with verbal and written communication in English (doesn't need to be perfect), Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, Comfortable working at heights and on ladders and suspended stages, Must be able to work while suspended in harness for extended periods of time, Can communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner Reliable, respectful, hard-working and honest Able to work flexible hours and maintain project budgets, Comfortable reporting to work in employer uniform and maintaining a neat and clean appearance

We have exciting opportunities for energetic, reliable, experienced Rope Access Technicians to join our expanding team. In this role, you will work on exterior maintenance and window cleaning projects for our portfolio of clients throughout the lower mainland. We provide a comprehensive training structure and develop our staff to be flexible and capable in various service functions.
 
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
Hold current SPRAT/IRATA Level 1 certification. Have Elevated work platform experience. Be punctual, reliable and honest. Comprehend and execute OHS requirements. Contribute to a positive team culture. Have the ability to communicate (read/write) in English.
 
Job Duties:
Rope access to hard-to-reach areas without scaffolding or a work platform
Descend, ascend and traverse ropes for access and work while suspended by harness. Perform window washing, pressure washing, dryer vent cleaning, exterior sealant renewals, inspection/reports, leak investigations, and other work tasks at height. Communicate effectively with customers and managers to maintain consistent workflow and customer satisfaction. Follow all safety rules and regulations
