Job Type: Fixed Term Contract

Pay: CA$40.00 - CA$65.00 per hour

Location: Greater Vancouver Area/Lower Mainland, British Columbia, Canada

We are currently hiring IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technicians, with a strong focus on Level 3 Supervisors for leadership roles. Whether you are an experienced Technician ready to take on leadership responsibilities or a seasoned Supervisor with industrial project experience, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career. You can start as an L3 Technician to further develop your skills, with the goal of advancing into various leadership and internal growth opportunities within the company.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform and lead rope access work on industrial and Oil & Gas projects (construction, inspection, maintenance, and repairs)
  • Supervise and mentor rope access teams (for Supervisor roles)
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on scope of work, safety planning, scheduling, and reporting
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, review Field Level Risk Assessments, and ensure compliance with IRATA standards and Alberta OHS Part 41
  • Identify hazards, implement controls, and ensure a safe, professional work environment
  • Liaise with clients and represent Pacific Ropes with professionalism
  • Train and support Level 1 and 2 technicians in their development

Qualifications

  • IRATA Level 3 Certification (required for Supervisor roles; Level 1 and 2 also encouraged to apply)
  • Standard First Aid (required)
  • Extensive rope access experience with a strong safety record
  • Leadership and supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of IRATA ICOP/TACS and Alberta Part 41 standards
  • Oil & Gas or heavy industrial experience (preferred)
  • Safety certifications: CSTS/OSSA BSO/OSSA CSO, CSE/M (Confined Space Entry & Monitor), ESC Fall Protection
